Description

Shape What's Next in Automation—Together
At Mission Design & Automation, we believe great automation starts with listening. As an Account Manager, you'll be the voice of the customer—working shoulder-to-shoulder with our engineering team to craft automation systems that make a lasting difference. We’re looking for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, values craftsmanship, and is ready to build something meaningful.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand What Matters
Build strong customer relationships by listening well and asking the right questions.
  • Design with Purpose
Collaborate with our talented team to concept custom automation systems that deliver real ROI—and reflect the high standards we hold ourselves to.
  • Keep It Real
Communicate clearly and honestly through every stage of the process—from first conversation to post-installation follow-up.
  • Drive Growth Through Trust
Earn repeat business through integrity, responsiveness, and care. Your relationships are built to last.
  • Keep Learning, Stay Curious
Stay on top of industry trends and bring new ideas to the team and our customers.
  • Be There in Person
On-site visits are key to understanding customer operations and earning trust. Travel is part of the job.

What You Bring

  • A humble, curious approach to solving problems and building partnerships
  • 3+ years in custom automation, preferably with concepting or design/build experience
  • Strong communication skills—whether it's a sketch on a napkin, a CAD model, or a conversation
  • A technical foundation (engineering or machine design background is a plus)
  • A self-starter mindset with follow-through, attention to detail, and customer-first thinking
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Why Mission?

  • We’re a West Michigan team of thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers who care about our craft and each other.
  • You’ll join a culture that values quality, humility, and teamwork over ego.
  • We don’t chase shiny things—we build long-term relationships and do right by our customers.
  • Your voice matters here. We’re growing, and we want people who want to grow with us.

If you’re excited about this role, but don't check every box – apply anyway. We understand that you might bring strengths and perspectives we haven’t thought of yet. We’re more interested in the right mindset than a perfect resume—so if you’re curious, collaborative, and committed to doing great work, we’d love to hear from you.
