Crane Currency is looking to fill a Sr. Quality Engineer job for the Nashua, NH location.

This Quality position identifies, analyzes and interprets quality trends, risks, and opportunities in order to make appropriate recommendations to drive improvements. She/he also leads cross-functional teams to deliver quick and effective resolution of product quality and testing related issues.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for: 

  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with a goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
  • Develop system for clear reporting and maintaining accuracy of data in support of department KPIs.
  • Utilize advanced problem-solving tools for investigations; identify root cause and implement strong corrective/preventative action.
  • Develop MSA program for existing equipment and associated testing techniques. 
  • Support internal non-conforming process; including Material Review Board (MRB);
  • Lead improvement projects for top contributors of quality defects and variability.
  • Serve as Quality Lead for cross-functional teams to support the Quality Management System and New Product Development initiatives.
  • Perform QMS Audits and support Customer and Supplier Audits as required.
  • Lead, participate and support continuous improvement events.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in chemical engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum of six years in quality, manufacturing or process engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering disciplines & manufacturing concepts.
  • Proven results in key continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task in dynamic environment.
  • Excel at prioritizing, communicating, and escalating when appropriate.
  • Project Management: from development of scope to effectiveness of implementation. 
  • Statistical methods: population sampling, hypothesis testing, SPC, DOE, Gage R&Rs
  • Problem solving techniques, such as 8-D, 5-why, Fishbone, PFMEA
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Minitab.
  • ASQ Member; certified Engineer, Auditor, Lean or Six Sigma Black/Green belt desired.
