Job description 

We are looking for a talented Robotics Solution Engineer with outstanding problem-solving skills to join our Solution Engineering team. You will be working with a small group of ambitious engineers and applied scientists who are building the future of robotic perception using some of the most exciting and challenging state of the art technologies in computer vision and machine learning. 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing robotic automation solutions based on our award-winning vision software, Apera Vue 

  • Support our sales team while interacting with customers throughout requirements definition, concept generation, and presentation of the proposal 

  • Setting up robotic systems for demonstrating the capabilities of Apera Vue 

  • Configuring customer’s hardware specification and components and assisting with setup 

  • Helping customers set up their physical systems 

  • Present concepts to customers highlighting competitive advantages 

  • Implementing/modifying robot programs according to the customer’s specific needs 

  • Working directly with customers and going “above and beyond” to ensure success 

  • Generate conceptual solutions for problems that have no previous or standard solution 

  • Being available for support outside of the normal working hours 

  • Helping customer remotely with vision system configuration  

  • Traveling to customer locations for onsite assistance 

  • Interface with our Pipedrive CRM

Required qualifications 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills (mechanical, electrical, and software) 
  • Good programming skills 

  • Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail and time management skills 

  • Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision 

  • Strong customer-service focus with a passion to exceed customer expectations 

  • High energy, drive, and sense of responsibility 

  • Bonus: 

  • Knowledge of vision systems and vision-guided robotics 

  • Working knowledge of robot programing 

  • Experience with robot scripting languages 

  • Experience with robot simulation software 

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical, mechatronics or systems engineering 

  • 2+ years of experience in system integration, automation design, or software development (or equivalent academic experience)
