Description
Engineering professional with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC programming experience. Ability to develop a controls hardware design plan for automated equipment. Development of machine programming logic which includes writing software, program debug, and on-site customer support.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Support project from kickoff through build, debug, runoff and installation
- Hardware design: power distribution, communication, safety, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and panel layout
- Write and document software
- Write software and debug after power-up
- Ability to travel as required (about 25%)
Minimum Skills & Abilities
- Ability to self-learn new technologies, practices, concepts, etc. as required
- Communication skills with all levels (project management, suppliers, colleagues, customer, etc.)
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
- Ability to estimate hours and budget costs
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Self-starter that is able to work either in a team environment or independently
- Microsoft Office
Minimum Education & Experience
- BSEE, BSEET, BSME or equivalent desired
- Electrical and pneumatic design for automated systems
- Risk assessment processes & current applicable safety standards
- Industrial robot programming (Fanuc preferred)
- HMI programming
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
- Hardware design (NFPA 79 standards)
