Description

Engineering professional with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC programming experience. Ability to develop a controls hardware design plan for automated equipment. Development of machine programming logic which includes writing software, program debug, and on-site customer support.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support project from kickoff through build, debug, runoff and installation
  • Hardware design: power distribution, communication, safety, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and panel layout
  • Write and document software
  • Write software and debug after power-up
  • Ability to travel as required (about 25%)

Minimum Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to self-learn new technologies, practices, concepts, etc. as required
  • Communication skills with all levels (project management, suppliers, colleagues, customer, etc.)
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Ability to estimate hours and budget costs
  • Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Self-starter that is able to work either in a team environment or independently
  • Microsoft Office

Minimum Education & Experience

  • BSEE, BSEET, BSME or equivalent desired
  • Electrical and pneumatic design for automated systems
  • Risk assessment processes & current applicable safety standards
  • Industrial robot programming (Fanuc preferred)
  • HMI programming
  • PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
  • Hardware design (NFPA 79 standards)
