Vision and Robotics Engineer

We are looking for a machine vision and robotics engineer to join our team based out of beautiful McKinney, TX!! Money Magazine's Best Places to Live!

Job Description

The machine vision and robotics engineer works with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop custom turn-key machines or solutions and also supports the installation and commissioning of these machines and systems at our customer’s facilities. 

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Machine Vision systems (2D & 3D) – Cognex, Keyence, Omron, Dalsa, Sick

2. Lighting and Optical Solutions

3. Robotic programming – Epson, Adept/Omron, Universal Robots, Staubli, ABB

4. Python, C++, C# Programming Skills, Multi-Threaded Applications

5. PLC Programming Omron, Yaskawa and others

Major Duties & Responsibilities

The machine vision and robotics engineer works in a multidiscliplinary team to develop custom machine vision and robotics solutions.

Minimum Skills & Abilities

Must haves:

• A passion for automation

• Advanced PLC programming (Allen Bradley) for complex machines

• Industrial Automation Knowledge – Machine Vision, Motion Control, Servo Drives and Robots

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• The ability to lead small teams as required

• “Hands- on” “Can do” attitude

• Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment

• Detail oriented

• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to travel minimum 50% of the time

• US Driver’s License and clean driving record required

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering.

• Minimum work experience: 3+ years
