Description

Electrical Design Engineers are responsible for the design of electrical and fluid power systems for our Automation Divison. We offer a flexible schedule, ability to work remotely when project permits, growth opportunities, company-paid trainings, and more.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical and fluid power systems.
  • Participate in a team-oriented phase-gate process.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with weekly task list updates and reporting.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment and safety planning.
  • Travel to customer sites for necessary project kickoff and review meetings as required.
  • Provide technical support and training for internal and external customers.
  • Complete assigned project work on time per the project schedule, within the project budget, and meet customer and WM requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or associate in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of NFPA79 guided electrical design.
  • Experience in the industrial automation industry required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 5%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Our Automation Division is responsible for the design, build, and prove out of industrial equipment, including robotic automation cells and industrial machine tools. Our custom equipment and robotic applications include, but are not limited to, Assembly, Dispensing, Machine Tending, Material Handling, and Palletizing.

Wauseon Machine is a FANUC Robotics Level IV Authorized System Integrator, Certified Service Provider, and Certified Vision Specialist. We build both small and large robot cells and systems which are designed, built, and programmed entirely in-house. We are authorized to provide warranty and repair of FANUC robots, making us a “one stop shop”. Applications include assembly, inspection/testing, machine tending, material handling, material removal, dispensing, and most custom applications.
