As Manager of Watermark you will be charged with implementing and overseeing the continued support of security feature implementation, as well as supervision of support staff and Watermarking Technologies Shop. This position is a key member of the management team and must maintain the technical proficiency of an industry expert in the field of security device implementation.  With this expertise, the Manager will participate and assist in directing process and product development by interfacing with the operation and support groups.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coach, direct and mentor associates
  • Supervise all work performed in the Watermarking Technologies shop
  • Responsible for the development of experimental watermarks and other equipment associated with security devices 
  • Participate as a member of the team developing new technologies and processes
  • Provide support to the operations, marketing, and Currency Papers Management teams
  • Update and/or create SOPs for all tasks performed by the Watermark Shop, including onboarding and training materials for all new hires into the Shop


  • BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Min 5 years exp within a manufacturing setting involving Research and Development and maintenance processes; Paper making experience a plus
  • Use of CAD for Engineering Design
  • Fabrication experience using CMM, Laser cutting and welding
  • Direct experience implementing lean concepts a plus
  • Knowledge of management, policies and procedures in order to oversee and lead technical groups toward meeting project goals, timetables, and within the corporate structure
  • Proficiency in JDE software (or similar ERP), MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Customer facing experience desirable
  • Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Problem solving ability
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions
  • Applicants must be United States citizens. The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
