This is a great opportunity for the right person. In this role you will improve the quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost of products across the Nashua, NH facility.  Engage in projects and lean initiatives focusing on yield maximization and cost reduction through development of production processes. Provide engineering support, working closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Process Excellence.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Process improvement initiatives to help improve functionality and launch new products
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Develop process operational standards, including statistical process control opportunities
  • Improve product quality by reducing process variability & increasing yields
  • Improve manufacturing methods
  • Resolve quality issues, identify trends and take corrective action
  • Document scope of work and results of improvement
  • Provide instructions to make product
  • Reduce product waste, improve utilization of capital equipment, cost of quality & optimize productivity
  • Work with operations, engineering, QA, maintenance, suppliers and management to problem solve and anticipate changes in customer requirements
  • Provide equipment design, including project justification
  • Participate in Kaizen & JDI events


Minimum Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient with data analysis, statistics and applied mathematics
  • Experience leading or working on critical, high-visibility projects
  • Project management skills and success in managing self-directed projects
  • Use graphics art software and translate print quality from specs to production
  • Must have basic knowledge of Minitab statistical software; Process Mapping and Capability Analysis a plus
  • Experience with Six-Sigma, Lean Concepts and 5S preferred
  • Communication skills with ability to explain complex processes to cross-functional teams

Minimum Education & Experience

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or similar discipline
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in Process Engineering or similar function in printing (preferred), coating or web processing
