Telamon Robotics is a Full-service Cobot Solution Developer, utilizing primarily Techman Cobots. We develop custom robotic solutions that help you grow your business, improve productivity, increase quality and provide a better working environment for your employees. We have developed solutions for everything from material cutting and palletizing to machine tending and sanding. Our team of solution engineers works closely with your business to understand your manufacturing processes and pain points.

The Robotics Sales Engineer is responsible for working in conjunction with the VP-Sales and technical team to target the right clients, grow a quality pipeline, win profitable deals and manage sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value towards meeting or exceeding an assigned Annual Revenue quota.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales cycles, performing lead generation, qualification, discovery, factory walk-throughs, solution concept development and validation, and negotiating and closing deals - both onsite and remote.
- Develop relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and/or existing clients to protect and grow the business.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Provide technical support to customers, during and after the sales process.
- Act as point of contact for resolution and escalation of all key items with the client and internally.
- Enable visibility into your business through effective tracking of account activity, opportunity management, and collaboration with internal managers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate in marketing activities required to exceed an assigned Annual Recurring Revenue quota.
- Continually research the best technologies in robotics and automation
- Partner with peers inside and outside Telamon to solve operational problems to Telamon’s advantage and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures all department standards and procedures are followed in an effort to meet or exceed global customer and industry requirements
- Utilize appropriate online tools to keep team abreast of customer status
- Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements
- Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers
- Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs
- Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
- Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes
- Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment.
- Prepares product orders and schedules deliveries
- Assists with research and development of new products
- Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
- The position requires sitting, standing and possibly some light lifting, less than 20 pounds
Minimum Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products/processes to non-technical audiences
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while maintaining robust communication with management and other internal stakeholders regarding activities
- Ability to develop and expand new and existing customer relationships
- Ability to effectively meet customer's needs, build productive internal and external stakeholder relationships, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of internal departments and customers
- Ability to identify, analyze, and mediate potential issues and conflicts with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to escalate to the appropriate person, at the appropriate time, and in the appropriate manner
- Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives
- Ability to understand the financial impact of decisions on the profitability of the proposed initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related sales management software
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Automation Engineering or related field, plus 4 – 6 years of relevant sales, customer service, or operations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 7-10 years of relevant experience preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant clients, products, manufacturing processes and services
