Radiant Vision System’s Advanced Vision team is focused on developing and selling automated optical inspection systems and solutions for new verticals and technologies. As Advanced Vision Product Manager, you will have a leading role in Advanced Vision team product development and marketing activities.  You will build Radiant’s position in these markets based on existing product plans and help to develop new directions based on discussions with customers and potential customers.  You must possess a blend of business and technical savvy.  You must enjoy spending time with customers to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

You must be able to communicate and cooperate effectively with staff in all areas of the company.  This includes working with Engineering to define product release requirements; with Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits, and target customers; along with direct and indirect sales channels and key customers to position, sell, and qualify solutions.

You will maintain expertise on products and technologies through training and research.  You will work on both inbound and outbound marketing including strategy development, applied technology roadmaps, competitive assessment, product roadmaps, master pricing, promotion, demand generation, and increasing customer awareness and preference.  

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy
    • Define the product strategy and roadmap for both future iterations of existing products and new products
    • Work with customers, direct and indirect distributor sales channels, and industry groups to identify new product and service opportunities
    • Perform market research and analysis activities such as competitor analyses, sales forecasts, new market trends, etc., in support of new product introductions and proposed new sales and marketing initiatives
    • Defining application specific value propositions relative to the customer’s alternatives and competitive products
    • Be an expert with respect to direct and indirect competition, and competitive positioning
    • Create and continually update the core positioning and messaging for the product
    • Identify and assess potential partner relationships for new and existing products
  • Product Specification
    • Develop and lead the product planning process
    • Drive problem solving and VOC data collection to assure strong positioning and product line growth.  Assess customer experience and process technical support data collaboratively with development, product planning, sales and other internal personnel
    • Work with customers, distributors, and industry groups to identify new product and service opportunities
    • Deliver target product specifications, market requirement documents (MRDs) and product requirements documents (PRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding strategic and financial justification
    • Coordinate User Interface (UI) designs and consolidate customer feedback on UI.
  • Product Marketing Launch
    • New Product Introduction (NPI) development and execution.  Successfully prepare and launch key Advance Vision products to meet and/or exceed target revenue goals
    • Develop and implement a global go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
    • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
    • Work with Marketing Communications to create sales tools and collateral
    • Brief and train sales force
    • Support Sales
  • Product Sales Support
    • Support the internal direct and channel sales force in responding to customer questions, by email, phone, and in customer meetings
    • Evaluate fit between customer need and Radiant technical capability and business strategies
    • Plan and participate in seminars, trade shows and other special marketing events or campaigns
    • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering organizations throughout product life cycle to manage the product line to optimal market penetration and profitability

  • This job is based in Redmond, WA and for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Radiant Vision Systems, LLC (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa, or any other non-immigrant status).
