Description
The Inside Account Manager (IAM) is an integral part of the sales process by collaborating with outside sales to provide hardware, software and service support to their assigned customers. The IAM will create pricing quotes for customers’ needs, process purchase orders, and track orders to provide status and updates for their customers. This role works directly with customers and with the Outside Sales Team and reports to the Inside Sales Manager (There is no cold calling in this position.)
Advantage Industrial Automation sells and supports industrial controls and automation product solutions in the OEM and End User sectors.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Customer account set up and administration
- Build relationships with existing customers to better understand their needs
- Handle all aspects of order entry and administration
- Customer quotations and inquiries
- Learn capabilities of the Company to become an effective customer support resource
- Build and help nurture relationships with vendors
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Well organized with excellent customer follow up
Minimum Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of order process from initiation to close
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
Minimum Education & Experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role
- Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience preferred
