Description

To serve as a point of contact for all issues related to the Balluff US, Canada, and Mexico websites. Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure successful product and marketing initiatives online and to work with the marketing communications team to develop strategies for managing digital programs to increase brand awareness and generate online traffic.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit content on current website, create/add new pages, and update the homepage content
  • Communicate with Balluff Germany’s web team about global web projects and new web functionality
  • Work with representatives at Balluff Canada and Balluff Mexico on website needs and new content development requests
  • Collaborate with department managers to collect information necessary to improve content
  • Ensure all website information and documentation is updated and accurate, meets specifications, and  
  •       adheres to Balluff standards for online content, graphics, format, and style

  • Manage Google PPC (pay-per-click) and SEO (search engine optimization) campaigns
  • Assist with other online needs such as adding product data and company information to third party websites, provide product data files in Excel format to distributors for use on their website, assist with internet marketing ad campaigns, and other projects as needed
  • Upload local content to Balluff asset portal and assist other users with accessing database
  • Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately
  • Analyze site traffic using analytics tools and report findings
  • Test websites to ensure capabilities across various browsers

  • SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITES
  • Develop strategies and schedule and manage content across Balluff digital platforms to increase brand awareness and drive leads
  • Execute lead distribution and scoring programs for different US sales groups based on their specific needs and establish a process to get feedback and ROI data from sales and/or CRM/SAP data
  • Execute introduction and retention programs to keep existing customers informed (strategic account newsletters, distributor programs, industry programs, etc)
  • Generate monthly media report detailing success rate of digital campaigns  
  • Increase Balluff brand awareness within target industries by having more online visibility and value propositions (industry microsites and campaigns)
  • Work closely with Canada and Mexico to provide marketing automation services that support their marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all digital campaigns are brand consistent, relevant and competitive within our industry

Minimum Skills & Abilities

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Website Management or a related field plus at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with online Web-based communications and social media platforms
  • Experience with email marketing and marketing automation technologies and software

 

Computer Software Skills:

  • Must have excellent PC skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Web technologies, such as HTML, XML, XSL, java script and CSS.
  • Proficient in Content Management Software, as well as graphic and web development software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, or Flash) preferred
  • Knowledge of database connectivity preferred
  • Google Analytics Certification (preferred)
  • Must have a strong knowledge of search engine optimization and best practices for email marketing, web, and social media
  • Experience with Email or Marketing Automation Software
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WordPress

 

Other:

  • A technical knowledge or familiarity of Balluff products and applications is ideal
  • Extreme attention to detail and good writing skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate, self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks, assignments, and projects at once
  • Strong leadership and project management skills. Must work effectively in both an independent and team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, in both written and verbal form
  • Ability to maintain consistency and work within corporate identity guidelines
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
