We’re seeking a creative and motivated Mid Level Electrical Engineer with excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills to join our team to ensure innovative design solutions are provided to all our clients.
As an Mid-Level Electrical Engineer, you would get to work on schematic capture, PCB layout, hand-soldering circuits and more. In addition, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills by working on a variety of unique client projects. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with 3+ years of industry experience. This job is HOURLY. It is NOT a salaried position.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and manufacture consumer electronics and robotics products.
- Utilize Altium to perform Schematic Capture/Layout, produce PCB exports for fabrication and assembly
- Perform and advise PCB reworks and repairs.
- Execute bring-up and testing of boards and robotic systems (PCBs, charging, peripherals, batteries, etc.).
- Regularly meet and interact with clients to provide innovative and efficient design solutions.
Minimum Skills & Abilities
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with Altium Designer
- Experience hand-soldering circuits, preferably SMT
- Demonstrated prior knowledge of basic digital circuit design techniques and designing consumer electronics
Nice to Have:
- Writing firmware in C or C++, Python
- Writing applications for Raspberry Pi or STM32
- Experience managing a PCB fabrication vendor and/or assembly house for rapid prototyping
- Experience with simulation of analog circuits using PSPICE
- PCB Layout experience on PCBs greater than 4 layers
- Demonstrated prior knowledge of digital and analog circuit design techniques
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
