Description
The key focus of Robotics Engineer is to provide technical support to our Partners and customers in the successful application, deployment and use of the Robotize GoPal solution. The Robotics Engineer has the objective to support the successful deployment and implementation of autonomous mobile robot projects. The responsibility of this role is also to investigate and clarify with key partners and customers if the GoPal solution can be applied successfully in specific use cases and layout environments.
This is a hybrid role, providing flexibility to work from home, while reporting regularly to Troy, MI location as needed. Must be willing to travel up to 30-40% within North America and occasionally to Europe
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Analyze applications and customer requirements, and the feasibility in fulfilling the customer needs and/or solving the customer challenges including meeting the desired improvements.
Provide on-site and/or remote assistance on how to apply GoPal robots during pre-sales, proof of concept, commissioning, and scaling phase.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales and Technical Support) as well as external ones (Distributors, System Integrators and End-Customers) to support the successful execution of projects.
Attend periodic project meetings as needed.
Offer the necessary application and technical advice and feedback as needed.
Provide GoPal system training (remote and onsite) to Partners and End-Customers as needed.
Provide feedback to product management, software, and hardware engineering teams to contribute towards continuous product improvement.
Minimum Skills & Abilities
Experience with planning, commissioning and operation of automation and robotics systems.
Understanding of Networking and WiFi.
Basic knowledge of LAN infrastructure, IP addresses, net masks, gateways, NTP, DNS
Proficient at systematic fault finding on electronic and electrical circuits.
Skilled at common electronic and electrical assembly procedures, including soldering.
Knowledge of good practices for wire work.
Flair for working on mechanical devices.
Experience and proficiency with common windows applications.
Understanding of computer programming and combination of logic components
Knowledge of basic Linux commands and system structure is an advantage.
Demonstrate ability to use SSH, SFTP, SCP, VI, Nano, among other command line utilities.
Minimum Education & Experience
Engineering degree in the field of automation, robotics, mechatronics, software application is preferred.
